Well, after yesterday's classes I guess I'm fairly set on what all I'm going to take. After much soul searching (and also coursebook searching, as I discovered that the only math classes being offered at the local uni I could take by coresspondance are entirely theoretical) I have decided to bite the bullet and drop math in favor of (gasp, shock) a humanities course.

After all, I don't want my mother dragging me back to Chi-town when she gets a gander at my first grade report.

So, yeah,
Physics
Advanced Chem with Paige (cause she asked really nicely and said I'd might get to blow stuff up)
Dance
Gymnastics
Self Defense
Comp Sci
Eastern Philosophy
and, horror of horrors, English. Plain, old fashioned, English.

Am also going to be taking Dr. Mctaggart's Power's Study Course, and, if I can, I want to do an independant study with you, Dr. McCoy, on Wierd Physics. I really do have a couple theories about Jamie's power... I mean, they're off the wall, but so is he. -grin-

Absolutely. This is a school, after all, people should study. A lot.

It's possible that more pictures exist. I mean, I could have taken that one my first shot, but you never know, maybe I wanted to have a range to choose from.

Indeed. One must never underestimate the value of academia.

So, if your girlfriend were curious about the hypothetical existence of such pictures, how would she best go about getting them from her wonderful, adorable, much loved boyfriend?

From: [identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com
Exactly. All sorts of things you can learn if you only study.

And . . . hmmm. I think she might be best served by using her imagination. You could even be economical and work on the pictures and the suit at the same time. And remember, I'm stubborn, I take a lot of convincing about things. :)

Will keep that in mind.

By the way, love, you do know this is a more-formal-than-a-suit affair, right? Paul is making tuxedo noises, and, of course, I keep hopping up and down about ball gowns...

A tux? Yeesh.

Only for you would I even consider it. Come convince me some more?

Will be right there.

Will also throw in, as added incentive, your favorite (and only) girlfriend in the backless or strapless ballgown of your chosing. Well, partly of your chosing. Well, you can come shopping with me and marvel and make appreciative noises and I`ll take them into consideration. Or, if you would prefer, I can not even suggest that you would ever want to go shopping for a formal dress...

Hey, I don't mind sitting around watching you try on nice clothes. I don't even mind carrying bags. It's the part where I get corraled into the changing rooms that gets me.

Which is why the nice men with all the money decided to have the tux people come here so you lot could be fitted and styled without having to leave the house and with assorted feminie advisors close at hand. Aren`t they clever?

Do you still not mind watching me try on nice clothes if Al and Lorna may be there too?

Do they realize I probably can't afford a rental, especially if it involves being fitted? Mom and Dad are cracking down on my use of technically-college-fund-money for non-college-related expenses, what with tuition a year away.

And I think, for you, I'm willing to endure the endless teasing. You should feel appropriately loved. :)

I think there is a more than reasonable chance of subsidy, and am really certain the fitting bit is being paid for.

I do. -loves back-

I do not think a rental is all that expensive, but I imagine you could convince Paul or Shinobi or -Alison- to rent it for you.

Tuxedo fittings are not that difficult. You get a vest or tie to match Kitty's dress, they make sure the jacket will fit over those shoulders, and that the pants do not make your rear end look huge.

Dress fittings are far, far more annoying. You do not have to wear dress shoes and complicated underwear for a tuxedo fitting.

Oh, I'm not complaining about the fitting, even though there's no possible way for an inseam measurement not to be awkward. I'm well aware you girls get the rawer deal when it comes to formal wear.

I just wish I could figure out where your gender's penguin fixation came from.

No one looks bad in a tuxedo.

No one. Ancient wizened old men look good in them. Overweight fat men. Shinobi's father -and- his sideburns. Jabba the Hutt.

Jabba the Hutt would get slime all over his tuxedo. Also, how would he wear the pants?

And this is exactly what I'm talking about. It's like there's some sort of giant alien penguin conspiracy to brainwash all the women of Earth.

He just wears the shirt and vest and tie. No pants.

Or he could wear a skirt like a tuxedo cut for a woman.

That mental image is just painful. Feel like making a little Tuxedo Jabba to slither around the school and disturb people?

I had to test it first! What if it was not really distubring?

It's a foot-long Hutt in a tuxedo jacket. How could it possibly not be disturbing?

Many things I find disturbing, others do not.

Did you notice the frogs on his vest? I think it is the little touches that make him so very distressing.

You're very good at the little details, yeah.

You know what would be even better, though? Have that little long-eared rat-monkey sidekick of his run around with him.

Wearing a top hat and tails.

I think you'd probably have to . . . hmm. Have you tried layering drawings on top of drawings? Like, draw a skeleton, or something, with lungs and a diaphragm and vocal cords and stuff like that, and then on top of that, on the same piece of paper, draw the actual critter? Maybe that'd give the image internal organs so it could breathe and talk and stuff.

Because you're right, about the only thing this needs is a little high-pitched "Ho ho ho."

I never thought about that. Maybe I should start with something simpler.

Are you busy right now?

I just wanted to check. Could you meet me in the music room? I have an idea, and I want to test it on something easy to draw first.

I didn't mean "strange" in a bad way! Please don't send Tuxedo Hutt to my room. Or the rat-monkey-thing, if you've got one.
