Meh. Why have classes on Sunday? I mean really.

But it was just the one, and I got to see Return of the Jedi, which is my favorite, so I guess it's ok. As long as this doens't become a regular thing please!

I actually did really well in this one too. [livejournal.com profile] x_celsis's first class was kinda dull, cause I've been doing excersizes like that since I got here, but I guess reviews never a _bad_ idea... even if it's dull.
And the second class was funish... but I wasn't really any good at it.

But this one! Who knew my bizarre ability to memorize stupid factoids and infinite chains of formulae would be so useful. Good thing I know the times tables up through 25 too... turns out it's the best way I could come up with to distract Ms. Frost from whatever it was she was looking for. Then, when I ran out of multiplication I started coding a program in my head to calculate the higher order times tables for me.

Hope I didn't give you a headache with all the math and stuff Ms. Frost.

Gah! It's late and I'm exhausted. Off to bed for this kitten.

I liked this last one too. I don't think I did it quite the same way most people did, though . . . I have this thing I can do with my dupes, where if one's doing something that doesn't really need a lot of attention it kinda goes on the back burner, or--well, when I had one babysitting those steaks the other day, say. It didn't take a lot of brainpower to do that, so I sort of put that dupe on standby, having much more important things to do with my attention. :) Doesn't work for homework, though, I tried writing a paper that way once and when I went back it was just the same sentence repeated over and over for about five pages.

So in class, I was kinda doing the same thing. I had the thing I had to keep hidden, and I kept it shuffling around the back burners, like a shell game, and then I had a couple of extra attention-strands on more "awake" priority to jump Ms. Frost from different angles when I felt her getting close . . . and then if she did grab onto one of the strands I just let go, like I do when I absorb a dupe. I never thought of doing that with my head without duping before, but it worked pretty well, I thought. I mean, she got in, finally, but it seemed like it took a while.

I wish the first class had been like that, though. Must just get dull after you actually know what you're doing with all that "psychic plane" and "personal avatar" stuff. Just gave me a headache.

Are you going to Kurt's acrobatics meeting tomorrow? Eh, you're probably in bed by now. Sleep well. :)

oh, that's interesting! I don't think I could devide my attention like that. Super focus on useless facts, yes, multi-task, not so much. Well, I can, but not well.

And yeah, Focus just takes practice. Loads and loads and lodas and ... *snore*

Yeah, I'll be at Kurt's meeting. Not sure what use he'll have for me, but I figure gymnastics and flexibility work would be good for my dancing.

(Am in bed, and even in pjs, but thanks to the laptop I can check my email. *g*)

Laptops are cool that way. :)

Yeah, multi-tasking is . . . pretty much a survival skill for me. Mom thinks it might even be part of my mutation, but we couldn't exactly go to a doctor to see if my brain's weird. (note, brain, not mind; we know my mind's weird.)

Didn't know you danced. That's cool. I can sort of flail around rhythmically. No training, but I can hop up and down on the beat. :)

Yes, they really are. *G*

Well, they're probably stuff in the lab and/or med center to check on stuff like that if you want...

And yeah, I do ballet. I've been doing it for 6 years or so.

The math was an excellent notion, Kitty; well beyond my means to digest, especially when I caught myself trying to actually follow what you were thinking. That's the trick; throw something at them that will either scare them away or distract them completely.

People forget I know more than a little about engineering. They assume beautiful women don't know anything technical. You and I will wipe that smirk from their faces, won't we Kitty, dear?

Well, I wouldn't call myself a beautiful woman, but I certainly intend to teach anyone who tries to tell me "girls can't do science" a hell of a lesson.

If you ever want I can walk you through the program I was writing in my head. Then you might be able to follow it next time... It was mainly just a series of do loops, with if clauses to end the program.
