Well, this conversation kind of got me thinking...
I know I'm not real pushy, or even real good, about going to temple. I mean, I make it to all the big ones, and go every now and then... I don't exactly keep kosher, cause it's too hard living here and anyways we're reform...
But yeah. So, Friday is Shavuot, which is one of our bigger holidays, and I was planing on going anyway, so if any of you want to come I guess you'd be welcome to join me...
Shavuot is the celebration of when Moses reached Mt. Sinai and recieved the Torah from God. The rabbi will read from the book of Ruth, which is the story of a cannanite who saw the way of the God of Abraham and converted, so I guess maybe if you want to know something about Judaism maybe it's a good story to hear.
Plus afterwards we could go out for ice cream since the way of God will lead us to the "land of milk and honey"...
